ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS LOCAL ETHICS COMMITTEE APPLICATION RULES

CHANGES TO THE APPLICATION RULES OF THE LOCAL ETHICS COMMITTEE FOR ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS

 

With the decision taken at the meeting of ÇOMÜ-HADYEK dated 06.03.2020, the following changes were made in the application rules to HADYEK, and the application files should be prepared according to these changes. Otherwise, the files for correction will be sent back to the project managers and processed after the corrections are made.

1) Applications will be made by the project coordinator in accordance with the “f” clause of the 7th article of the ÇOMÜ-HADYEK directive. Communication between the applied project and the ethics committee will be provided only with the coordinators, and no contact will be made with other researchers in the study.

2) Project applications will be made with electronic signature over the Electronic Document Management System (ÜBYS), the physical outputs of the petition and its annexes (Application form, undertaking, experimental animals use certificate) are submitted to the ÇOMÜ-HADYEK Secretariat (ÇOMÜ Experimental Research Application and Research Center) in full and with wet signature. will be delivered and also all documents will be sent to hadyek@comu.edu.tr via e-mail. Applications sent only by hand will not be processed. Applications outside the institution will be submitted by UBYS and/or physically by the executives.

3) The latest updated forms will be downloaded from ÇOMÜ-HADYEK's website (http://hadyek.comu.edu.tr/formlar.html) and filled in. Files submitted with old forms will not be processed.

4)Since the project information is entered into the HAYBIS System of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry electronically, the telephone and e-mail information of all researchers participating in the study will be written in the application form.

5) All researchers will have their signatures on the application form, in case of missing signatures, project applications will not be processed before the signatures are completed.

6) The Experimental Animal Use Certificates of all researchers who will come into contact with the experimental animal must be included in the application file. Relevant places will be marked in the application form.

7) According to the undertaking valid for all applications (research, preliminary study, training) signed by the researchers, the next applications of those who do not send the project result report to ÇOMÜ-HADYEK within 3 months after the end of the procedures applied to the animals will not be processed. 8) Projects for which the decision of "Needs to be corrected" has been given by the Animal Experiments Ethics Committee will be re-evaluated after they are corrected.

9) In order to ensure that the tissues and organs of animals that died in the experiment are evaluated in other applications within the scope of sharing, the donated tissues that are planned to be purchased other than the tissue specified in the project will be written in the section (A9.1) specified in the research form during the project application. Otherwise, any tissue import will not be allowed except the tissue specified in the project.

10) When researchers, who stated in the previous project application that they would receive a grant tissue, apply to ÇOMÜ-HADYEK to work with these tissues, the tissues received in accordance with the Regulation on the Working Procedures and Principles of Animal Experiments Ethics Committees and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Animal Experiments Local Ethics Committee Directive are considered as "dead" animal or tissue” will be accepted and an out-of-scope letter will be given to them. 11) Before the decision to change the application committees of ÇOMÜ-HADYEK dated 06.03.2020 (the period until 24.08.2016), the researchers who were not specified in the previous project application that the grant tissue will be received, when they apply to ÇOMÜ-HADYEK to work with these tissues, the Animal Experiments Ethics Committees Tissues taken in accordance with the Regulation on Working Procedures and Principles and the relevant provisions of the ÇOMÜ Animal Experiments Local Ethics Committee Directive will be considered as "dead animal or tissue", and an out-of-scope letter will be given. 12) In the project applications for which the decision of the local ethics committee for animal experiments has been taken, a "change notification form" will be filled in order to make a researcher change later. In addition, the amended new application form and the wet signed approval letters of the persons who will be removed from the project will be attached.
